A fresh produce importer in Thame, with around 30 staff, has been an iNREACH customer since 2002, adding and upgrading services over that time.

The most recent problem came with a price already attached to it. Invoice volumes had grown to the point where the business was preparing to take on two more people purely to keep up with the processing.

Two salaries is a permanent cost, and it was about to be added to absorb a workload that kept growing.

What iNREACH delivered

iNREACH supplied Therefore, Canon’s document management software, and built the workflow around the way invoices move through the business. Invoices now follow a paperless automated workflow from arrival through to processing.

Alongside that, iNREACH supplies several printers, IT security and support, and a multi-user phone system. That means one supplier across all three, so there’s one account manager and one set of review meetings across the lot. Support is answered in-house from the Milton Keynes office, whichever of them it concerns.

The outcome

The two hires weren’t needed. The existing team absorbed the invoice volume and got some of its time back, costs came down, and it’s built to scale as volumes grow.

Twenty-four years on from the first order, the business is still adding to what it takes from iNREACH rather than looking around. That’s the part no proposal can promise.

Paperwork that outgrows the people processing it

If document volumes are outgrowing the team handling them, it’s worth looking at the workflow before the headcount. iNREACH supplies document management, print, IT and comms from its Milton Keynes head office, with support answered in-house.
