About This Service
What is audio visual support?
Audio visual support is the ongoing service that keeps your meeting rooms, screens and sound systems working after they have been installed: someone to call when a room will not do what it should, and cover for equipment that fails.
Designing and fitting a room is one job. Keeping it working for the years afterwards is another, and it’s usually where the difference between a room your team trusts and one they avoid actually shows up.
Replaced, not repaired
This is where AV maintenance differs from everything else we do.
A printer is modular. An engineer can take it apart on site and change the part that has failed. A screen isn’t built that way. It either works or it doesn’t, and there is nothing meaningful to strip down and repair in between.
So under a service contract, failed equipment is replaced with the same model or the current equivalent. No collection, no workshop, no waiting a fortnight for something to come back. Every piece of hardware we supply also carries its manufacturer’s warranty, which sits behind that.
Being straight about preventative maintenance
You’ll see AV companies selling scheduled maintenance visits.
It’s worth understanding what one can and cannot tell you. What a visit cannot do is tell you when a screen or a speaker is going to fail. There’s no wear to measure and no warning to spot. It either works or it doesn’t.
That is different from print, where parts wear measurably and can be changed before they go, or IT, where usage is monitored continuously.
So we’d rather build the service around putting things right quickly, which is what actually keeps a room in use.
Training, and the people who join after installation
Training is included when we install a room.
So your team can use it from the first day. The part that catches businesses out is what happens six months later. People leave, new people arrive, and nobody remembers how the room was set up.
So ongoing training is available whenever you need it, for new starters or as a refresher. It isn’t always included in a contract, but it’s always available.
Equipment we didn’t supply
We can often take on a piece of legacy equipment.
Where we install a room that is predominantly new, we can usually take on a piece of legacy equipment alongside it, a speaker or similar that we know is unlikely to give trouble.
Taking on a whole estate of someone else’s equipment is a different matter, and we would rather tell you honestly that new equipment is the better route than support something we cannot stand behind.
