Digital Signage

Screens that earn their place on your wall, in your window or on the side of your building. Supplied, installed and supported by the same in-house team, from our Milton Keynes office.

About This Service

What is digital signage?

Digital signage is a screen used in place of a printed sign or poster, showing content you can change whenever you want. A reception screen carrying the day’s visitors and company news. A window display that rotates through current offers. An advertising screen on the side of a building, showing something different every few minutes.

Two things make it work: a commercial screen built to run all day, and software that lets you change what is on it without calling anyone. We supply both.

What We Deliver

Where the screens go, and what runs on them.

From a single reception screen to outdoor advertising displays across a site.

Point of sale and in-store. Screens at the counter, in the aisle or above the till, promoting what you want people to see at the moment they are deciding.

Window displays. Facing outward onto the street, which means brightness matters more than anywhere else. A screen that looks vivid indoors can be unreadable behind glass in direct sun.

Internal communication. Reception areas, staff rooms and corridors, carrying company news, performance information or whatever your team needs in front of them.

Outdoor advertising screens. On the side of a building or facing a road, whether you are promoting your own business or renting the space to somebody else who is.

The mix is genuinely broad. A recent installation was for an auction house, showing what had just sold and what was coming up next, on a screen facing the street. Others are large building-side advertising screens where the space itself is the product.

If a screen can be seen by the public, where you put it is not entirely up to you.

Screens visible from a road can need planning permission, and there are rules about brightness and distraction for anything a driver might see. It is the sort of thing that is straightforward to check beforehand and expensive to discover afterwards, so we assess location, size, brightness and legal placement before anything is ordered.

That assessment is part of the site visit rather than an extra. We would rather tell you a screen cannot go where you want it than install one that has to come down.

We supply commercial displays from all the leading manufacturers, including Samsung, Hisense and Peerless, in sizes from a single wall-mounted screen up to large-format outdoor displays and multi-screen installations.

The specification follows the location. How far away people will be standing sets the size. How much light the screen has to compete with sets the brightness. Whether it runs for eight hours or twenty-four sets what the panel needs to be built for. Every screen we sell carries its manufacturer’s warranty.

Most businesses want to update their own screens, and they should. Prices change, offers change, the thing you are promoting this week is not the thing you were promoting last week.

So we supply content management software alongside the screens, and we work with several platforms rather than tying every client to one. You schedule content, rotate messages, change what appears on which screen and set it running. If you have multiple sites, you can update them all from one place or leave each location to manage its own.

Training is included at installation, and further training is available as your team changes.

We install the screens, mount them, connect them and set up the software. Then we support all of it.

In practice, most of it simply works. Once a screen is installed and configured it tends to get on with the job, and outright failures are rare. Where you do need us, you call and our team answers centrally from our Milton Keynes office, and plenty of questions are settled on that call or remotely.

There is little value in scheduled maintenance visits for AV, because a screen either works or it does not, and there is nothing to adjust in between. So our support is built around putting things right quickly instead. In the uncommon event a display fails under a service contract, we replace it with the same model or the current equivalent rather than sending it away for repair. Every screen also carries its manufacturer’s warranty, and across everything we support our clients see 99.9% uptime.

You will have a dedicated account manager from day one, and six weeks after installation someone outside your account team calls to check you are happy with everything.

Thinking about a screen somewhere the public will see it? Arrange a site visit and we will tell you what is possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about digital signage.

Anything a printed sign or poster would do, with the advantage that you can change it. Common uses are menu boards, retail promotions, window displays, reception and staff communication, wayfinding, and advertising screens on the outside of buildings.
Sometimes, and it depends on the location. Screens that are visible to the public, particularly anything facing a road, can require permission, and there are rules covering brightness and driver distraction. We assess this as part of the site visit, before anything is ordered.
Yes, and most clients do. We supply content management software with the screens so you can schedule and rotate content whenever you want, across one screen or every site you run. Training is included at installation.
A commercial display is built to run for far longer each day, at higher brightness, and often in portrait as well as landscape. Domestic televisions are not designed for continuous operation, which is why they tend not to last in a shop window or a reception area.
It depends on how much daylight the screen has to compete with, which is why we assess the location rather than quoting a figure. A screen behind glass facing direct sun needs considerably more brightness than one in a corridor.
Under a service contract we replace it with the same model or the current equivalent rather than sending it away for repair, so your signage is back on quickly. Every screen also carries its manufacturer’s warranty.
Anything from a single screen to large or complex multi-screen environments across a site.
