A care provider in Aylesbury, with 12 staff at this site and more sites elsewhere, was due an upgrade on its print equipment. The quote came from the supplier it already had.

The problem

The cost put forward didn’t reflect what was being offered for it, and the provider was being asked to commit on that basis. Renewing is the path of least resistance in that situation, which is how these agreements tend to roll on.

What iNREACH delivered

iNREACH quoted a Canon A3 colour device against it. The lease cost and the running cost both came in lower, on a specification matched to what the site actually prints.

Ending the existing arrangement was part of what iNREACH put forward, so the provider didn’t have to run the old contract down before moving.

The service contract covers all parts, all labour and all call-outs, billed on the pages actually produced. What the site pays follows what it prints.

The outcome

The provider pays less than the incumbent was asking, on a device that suits the site. Support is answered in-house from the iNREACH office in Milton Keynes.

The conversation has carried on since. Having seen what iNREACH covers across the rest of the business, the provider has booked a second meeting to look at telecoms and IT.

When the upgrade quote arrives

If your supplier has come back with an upgrade cost and it doesn’t look right for what’s on offer, a second quote costs nothing. iNREACH supplies and supports print for care providers across the UK from its Milton Keynes head office, with support answered in-house.
