A hospitality and events business in Hammersmith, with 30 staff, was moving into new premises. The interiors were being redesigned around how the team actually work, and the managing director wanted the meeting rooms in the new space to be better than the ones being left behind.
The problem
The old boardroom had a video bar that had never been fully installed or integrated with the rest of the AV. Using it meant directors pulling cables out and plugging them back in, and it often didn’t work anyway.
More often than not they gave up and ran the meeting from a laptop instead, huddled around one screen, struggling to see and hear the people on the call. In front of clients, it didn’t look professional.
What iNREACH delivered
iNREACH worked with the client’s project team while the fit-out was being planned, and specified an all-in-one Microsoft Teams Rooms system for the new meeting rooms. Each room got a 4K interactive display, a touch controller inside the room, and a booking panel on the wall outside it.
The costing covered the integration work, the project handover and staff training, so the rooms were usable from the day the business moved in and nobody had to work out the new kit on their own.
The outcome
The rooms work every time. Staff can see from the corridor whether a room is in use, and they’ll see the day’s bookings on the controller when they walk in. Meetings start with one touch rather than a hunt for the right cable, and laptops connect straight to the display for client presentations.
The displays get used well beyond calls. The team brainstorm on the built-in whiteboard, and use Teams whiteboarding on conference calls when they’re presenting to prospective clients.
After the installation the client rang to say the video and audio quality was superb.
Moving premises
Support runs on a monthly contract, answered in-house from the iNREACH office in Milton Keynes. Where a fault can’t be resolved over the phone, equipment under contract is swapped for the same model or the current equivalent.
