UPS AND DOWNS FOR WILL MACINTYRE IN GB3 BRANDS HATCH SHOWDOWN
Brands Hatch played host to another adrenaline-fuelled GB3 Championship weekend, and Will Macintyre was right in the thick of the action.
Across three races on the legendary Grand Prix circuit, Will showed flashes of pace, consistency, and determination, mixing strong points finishes with hard lessons.
For Elite Motorsport’s rising star, the weekend was a true test of resilience, offering both rewards and setbacks that will shape the next stage of his season.
RACE 1: A CONSISTENT START
Starting in a mid-pack position, Will demonstrated composure and consistency, ultimately crossing the finish line in 5th place. He trailed race winner Ninovic by 3.997s, securing a solid points haul for Elite Motorsport.
RACE 2: A DELAYED START
Race 2 carried a twist with a delayed start (revised from 11:30 to 15:15) following an on-track incident. Will lined up again in the midfield, maintaining a competitive rhythm around the track and finishing in 11th place.
RACE 3: DRAMA UNFOLDS
In the dramatic season finale, Enzo Tarnvanichkul took his maiden GB3 win. However, Will wasn’t so lucky, retiring (DNF) after an incident at Hawthorns, which brought out the first safety car. Prior to the mishap, he had been fighting well but the high-speed put an abrupt end to his charge.
NEXT UP…
With Brands Hatch now behind him, Will Macintyre’s focus turns to Donington Park on 4th to 5th October, where the penultimate rounds of the GB3 Championship promise more high-speed drama.
Having shown both pace and perseverance at Brands, Will will be eager to build on his momentum and chase even stronger results on home soil. We will all be watching closely to see what he can achieve as the season heads into its final stages.
