WILL MACINTYRE’S RETURN TO HUNGARORING
This weekend (5–6 July), the GB3 Championship returns to Hungary for its second visit to the Hungaroring – a circuit where Macintyre has already left his mark.
TITLE CONTENDER STATUS
This is Will’s second GB3 campaign, this year with Elite Motorsport. He’s already claimed a win this season (Silverstone reverse‑grid race) and sits 7th in the standings on 116 points, tied with Gianmarco Pradel. With three wins and six podiums under his belt from 2024, Will has shown consistency and speed.
GETTING THE TACTICAL EDGE
Hungaroring is infamous for being tight and twisty; overtakes are limited. That makes qualifying and race strategy paramount. Macintyre’s aggressive style and previous success in reverse-grid formats hint that he could shine in race three.
WEEKEND FORMAT
- Thursday: Two 30‑minute test sessions (09:00 & 13:51)
- Friday: Two 45‑minute Free Practices (11:36 & 16:59)
- Saturday: Qualifying at 10:50 — Race 1 at 17:20
- Sunday: Race 2 at 11:05, Race 3 (reverse grid) at 17:40
Macintyre will need to balance aggression with precision in qualifying, stay sharp in Race 1, and be ready to pounce in the reverse‑grid finale.
As ever we will keep you updated on Will’s progress!
