A cloud environment built for your business alone, hosted at a local tier four data centre and replicated at a second. Managed and supported in-house from our Milton Keynes office.

About This Service

What is a private cloud?

A private cloud is a cloud environment dedicated to one organisation. The servers, storage and networking behind it are yours alone rather than shared with other businesses, and access is controlled by you and whoever manages it on your behalf.

You get what people expect from the cloud: your systems and data reachable from anywhere, capacity that grows when you need it, no server cupboard humming away in the corner of your office. What sits underneath is dedicated infrastructure rather than a shared platform.

What’S We Deliver

Hosted, replicated and supported by our own team.

Where your data lives, how it’s backed up, and who you call when you need something.

Private cloud hosting is only as good as the building your data lives in. Ours sits at a tier four data centre local to Milton Keynes.

Data centres are graded by tier, and tier four is as high as any business outside national infrastructure needs to go. You park where you are told. You pass through a row of metal gates, then another. At reception you hand over anything electronic, phones and keys included. Every room beyond that is on camera. The floors are built to withstand earthquakes, floods and lightning strikes. And in the event of fire, canisters mounted along the walls pull the oxygen out of the room so nothing can burn, which is why evacuation happens before they are triggered.

Your environment is then replicated across our other tier four data centres. If something happened to one site, your data still exists in full elsewhere.

Every one of them is in the UK, and so is everyone who touches your environment. Your data doesn’t leave the country, and neither does the support behind it.

Your setup combines on-site backup and security configuration with mirroring and replication at the data centre. Plenty of businesses back up faithfully for years and never test whether the backup restores, then find out at the worst possible moment. We test and prove restores as part of the service.

Restoring data is our job rather than yours. When something needs recovering, you call us and we do it. There’s no expectation that anyone in your business learns how to operate the recovery process.

Our IT service is Microsoft certified and Cyber Essentials certified. Across everything we support, our clients see 99.9% uptime.

We handle the move whichever direction you’re going: from on-premise servers into a private cloud, from a public platform back into a dedicated environment, or into a hybrid setup that uses both.

Moves back from public cloud have become noticeably more common, and ransomware worry is usually somewhere behind the decision. Worth saying plainly: an attack normally starts with a weakness in the business’s own systems rather than the platform the data sits on. Moving your data does not on its own fix that, which is why we’d look at both.

When you need something, you call us and our team answers centrally from our Milton Keynes office. Phone and remote support handles most of it there and then, and our own UK-based engineers deal with anything that needs someone on site. Nothing is passed to a third party.

Private cloud vs public cloud

The question we get asked most often.

And the honest answer is that it depends on what you run and who you answer to.

The right answer starts with what you actually run. That’s what an assessment is for, and it’s why we look at your infrastructure before recommending anything.

Public cloud
Your business shares infrastructure with thousands of others. Quick to set up, pay for what you use, scales instantly. For a great many businesses that is exactly right, and it is why we also offer public cloud services and management.

Private cloud
The infrastructure is dedicated to your organisation alone. You get more control over where your data physically sits, how it is configured and who can reach it. It matters most when you handle sensitive information, or work in a sector with rules about how data is held.

Hybrid
Running both, keeping some systems in a dedicated environment and others on public platforms. Plenty of businesses land here, and we support all three.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Private Cloud.

In a public cloud your business shares infrastructure with many others, which makes it fast to set up and easy to scale. In a private cloud the infrastructure is dedicated to your organisation, giving you more control over where data sits, how it’s configured and who can access it. Businesses handling sensitive data or working under sector rules often prefer private, and many run a hybrid of both. We supply all three.
At a tier four data centre local to us, with your environment replicated across our other tier four data centres. All of them are in the UK. Tier four is as high a grade as any business outside national infrastructure needs, covering physical security, fire suppression, environmental protection and redundant power.
Yes. Your team reaches their environment from wherever they’re working, in the same way they would from a desk in the office.
No, and you don’t need to. Backup, replication and restores are part of the service. We also test restores rather than assuming they work, because an untested backup is the one that fails when it matters.
Yes, and it’s a move more businesses are asking about. It runs as an end-to-end project: we assess what you have, plan the migration, carry out the technical work and support the environment afterwards.
Yes. Your environment is hosted at a tier four data centre local to us and replicated across our other tier four data centres, all of which are in the UK. Everyone who manages, monitors and supports it is part of our own UK-based team, so your data and the people looking after it stay in the country.
Design the environment around what you run, migrate you onto it, then manage it: monitoring, patching, security configuration, backup, replication and restores. You get a dedicated account manager and one team responsible for the whole thing, rather than a platform you are left to operate yourself.
There’s no typical profile. We host private cloud environments for small and medium sized businesses and organisations, including education, local government and charities. What matters is what you run and how sensitive it is, rather than how big you are
