Managed Security Services.

Cyber security delivered by the team that runs your IT, from free assessments that show you where you’re exposed to immediate response when a threat appears.

About This Service

What are managed security services?

Managed security services are the ongoing monitoring, management and protection of a business’s systems by a specialist provider, rather than being handled ad hoc when something goes wrong. That covers finding vulnerabilities, watching for threats, and responding when something happens.

At iNREACH, our cyber security services are delivered centrally from our Milton Keynes office, where we’ve been based since 1998, as part of managing your IT, and that matters more than it might sound. The people watching for threats are the same people who run your infrastructure, know your setup and hold the inventory of everything on it. Security decisions get made with full knowledge of what they affect, and there’s a single point of responsibility for both.

What’S iNCLUDED

From finding the weaknesses to closing them down.

Assessment, prevention, training and response — all delivered by the team that runs your IT.

Most successful attacks start with something the business didn’t know was exposed. So our IT security services start with three assessments that show you, in plain terms, where you stand. DMARC testing: run your domain through the free DMARC checker on our website and you’ll see in seconds how well protected your email is. Dark web monitoring: your domains and email addresses are scanned continuously against dark web marketplaces, forums and breach dumps, and when something belonging to your business appears, you’re alerted with the source, the timing and what was exposed, prioritised by severity. Penetration testing: a testing device is placed on your network and maps how an attacker would get in, with findings scored by severity and business impact. A basic assessment is free of charge. Together, these give you a genuine vulnerability assessment: a factual picture of your exposure and what to prioritise.
Most attacks on a business arrive by email, and the convincing ones get past standard filters because they contain no attachment, no obvious bad link and no spelling mistakes. Our email security reads incoming mail for intent rather than only checking it against known threats. It picks up the language of manufactured urgency, compares how a sender normally writes against the message in front of it, renders the email visually to spot faked logos and hidden text, and decodes QR codes to check where they actually lead. What your team sees is simple: a coloured banner at the top of the email telling them whether it’s safe, worth a second look, or dangerous, with a plain explanation of why. Over time that trains people as they work.
Technology stops most of it. Your team is what stops the rest, and that only works if they’ve seen an attack before. We run security awareness training built around simulated phishing campaigns using the same techniques being used against real businesses right now. Anyone who clicks is enrolled automatically into short video training and a quiz, so the lesson lands at the moment it means something. Campaigns can be scheduled a year ahead and left to run, and content is refreshed monthly as new threats appear. Reporting shows you where your business is strongest and where it isn’t, by team and by individual.
Detection is immediate: we’re notified the moment something is flagged, and it goes straight to our senior support team, who isolate the incident immediately. Where a machine needs isolating from the network, we can do that while keeping our own remote access to it, so the threat is contained without losing the ability to work on the problem. If you spot something yourself, you call and someone in our Milton Keynes office picks up the phone and dials in, there and then. When an incident does happen, we guarantee our response and work to get you back up and running as quickly as possible. No security company can honestly guarantee an outcome before knowing what it’s dealing with, which is why what we guarantee is our response.
Your devices: event logs across Windows and Mac, malicious files and processes, and detection of breaches that get past antivirus. Your network: firewall and edge device activity, connections to high-risk regions, and the lateral movement that shows an attacker is already inside. Your cloud: Microsoft 365 sign-in activity and malicious login detection, plus your business applications watched for bulk downloads, risky file sharing and changes to inbox rules, with a compromised account locked automatically within minutes. Analysts hunt for suspicious activity rather than waiting for an alert to arrive, and map anything they find against the recognised framework of attacker techniques, producing a timeline of what happened. This level of continuous protection is delivered through our IT support plans, scaling with the level of cover your business needs.
The least visible security work is also some of the most effective. Operating system and application updates are deployed automatically, on a schedule built around your working hours rather than through them. Critical updates are prioritised, and anything that causes a problem can be rolled back. Systems are scanned continuously for updates that have been missed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about managed security services.

Managed IT services keep your technology running; managed security services protect it from threats. Many businesses buy them separately and end up with two suppliers who each know half the picture. At iNREACH they’re delivered together, so the team securing your systems is the same team that runs them.
A structured check of where your business is exposed to attack. Ours combines DMARC testing of your email security, dark web monitoring on where your details are circulating, and penetration testing of your network, producing a plain-language picture of your weaknesses and what to fix first.
Yes. We run simulated phishing campaigns using current real-world techniques, and anyone who falls for one is enrolled automatically into short video training with a quiz. Campaigns can be scheduled up to a year ahead, content is updated monthly, and reporting shows you where your business is exposed by team and by individual.
In three layers. DMARC stops criminals sending mail that appears to come from your domain. Our email security analyses incoming messages for intent, faked branding, malicious QR codes and unusual sender behaviour, then flags them with a coloured banner your team can act on. And awareness training makes sure the messages that do get through are recognised for what they are.
Immediately. Threat detections go straight to our senior support team, who isolate the incident straight away, and if you call us about something suspicious, we dial in there and then.
Yes, through our higher IT support tiers, which include 24/7 monitoring and alerts and a 24/7 SOC team. Monitoring covers your devices, your network and your cloud services, with analysts hunting for suspicious activity rather than only responding to alerts. Most businesses don’t need round-the-clock cover, and the tier structure means you take it only if you do.
DMARC is an email security standard that stops criminals sending emails that appear to come from your domain. Without it, your business name can be used to phish your own customers and suppliers. You can check your domain’s DMARC security free of charge using the tool on our website.
