WILL MACINTYRE KICKS OFF 2025 SEASON WITH STRONG TEST IN NEW GB3-025
Elite Motorsport wasted no time getting its 2025 campaign underway, debuting the brand-new Tatuus MSV GB3-025 at the iconic Jerez circuit in Spain.
Eddie Ives’ team took delivery of their first next-generation GB3 car at Bedford Autodrome on Friday before heading straight to the sun-soaked former Grand Prix venue for an intensive two-day shakedown.
Confirmed 2025 driver Will Macintyre, along with his teammates, wasted no laps, completing over 130 tours of the 2.7-mile circuit across Monday and Tuesday. Right from the start, the new machine showed impressive pace, with lap times improving by nearly five seconds over the course of the test.
Macintyre, a multiple GB3 race winner, was given the honour of taking the car’s first laps and was immediately impressed.
“Thanks to the boys and girls at Elite Motorsport for getting us out so quick, it feels unreal. It runs like a Swiss watch!” he shared on Instagram.
Reflecting on the experience, he added: “It’s been flawless so far, and I’m super happy with the job the team has done to get it out so quick.
“It’s been interesting as a driver going from the old GB3 car to the new one, it’s definitely a step in the right direction for getting us drivers ready for higher formulas.
“It’s also been great to get used to some of the new features, the DRS in particular is really cool! I’m super excited for the next tests, it’s been a lot of fun and I can’t wait for more.”
As always we will be following along with Will’s journey, stay tuned for more updates as the season gets underway in April!
