WILL MACINTYRE CLAIMS PODIUM IN ZANDVOORT GB3 FINALE

Will Macintyre capped off a challenging but ultimately rewarding weekend at Zandvoort with a superb second-place finish in Race Three of the GB3 Championship. The Elite Motorsport driver showcased grit, consistency, and racecraft across all three contests at the Dutch circuit.

RACE ONE: DIFFICULT START, P10 FINISH

Macintyre’s weekend began with a tough opening race on Saturday. Starting mid-pack, he battled hard throughout the 14-lap encounter and made his way to 10th place at the chequered flag, laying the groundwork for improvement over the rest of the weekend.

RACE TWO: HOLDING FIRM FOR ANOTHER TOP TEN

Race Two saw Macintyre again fighting in the midfield. In a closely contested battle, he maintained composure under pressure, fending off Keanu Al Azhari in the latter stages to secure 9th place.

RACE THREE: FRONT ROW START TRANSLATES INTO PODIUM GLORY

The reverse-grid format for Race Three offered Macintyre a golden opportunity, which he seized. Starting from the front row, he made a strong getaway and briefly held the lead before being overtaken by Rodin Motorsport’s Hugo Schwarze on Lap Two. Macintyre remained in close pursuit throughout the race and crossed the line just 0.343s behind Schwarze, taking a well-deserved second-place finish.

MOMENTUM FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP PUSH

Macintyre’s Zandvoort performance, especially his racecraft under pressure and ability to maximise the reverse-grid format, strengthens his position in the GB3 title fight. With Spa-Francorchamps up next, he’ll be looking to convert this momentum into even more wins.
